January 25, 2015 AM Worship
Vine Street Baptist Church is happy to welcome guest Worship Leader Bennett Stofer.  Born in Kansas City, MO, and raised in Bowling Green, KY, Stofer recently moved Louisville to start his second semester Southern Seminary.  Stofer grew up surrounded by music, as his father is a minister of music. Bennett has just started becoming active in leading worship and choirs.  He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Music Education and is currently in the Worship Leadership masters program.
The service began when Deacon Joe Gross welcomed everyone and read Psalm 146, then said an opening prayer. Stofer led the gathered in songs – one classic and one familiar with a new tune.
- Holy, Holy, Holy
- O Worship the King
After a time of fellowship, Pastor Ben gave some general announcements and led a time of quite pastoral prayer. Church member Levi Bainter read 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 before Stofer introduced a new song, then everyone sang it and followed by another familiar hymn.
- Cornerstone
- It is Well With My Soul
Deacon Wally Jeffries prayed for the offering, then quite music played in the background while the offering plates were passed. Children were dismissed to Children’s Church, then Pastor Ben began today’s message.
