August 7, 2016 Morning Worship
As Deacon Mickie Bainter said before reading Psalm 17:1-7, “It is a beautiful day today!” Â After an opening prayer, Worship Leader Jacob Hatcher encouraged everyone to stand and sing:

- 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)
A time of welcome and fellowship, Pastor Spencer Harmon presented some announcements:
- Today starts a new sermon series: “Every Member …“
- Back to School Bash is this week: Preparations this afternoon and the event on Wednesday
- Souper Sunday tonight at 6:00pm
- Wedding Pounding for the Hanna’s after Morning Worship next week
- bring a pound of sugar, a pound of flour, or a pound of something to help them get started as a newly married couple
- Kroger PlusCard support renewal
Spencer said a pastoral prayer for various concerns of the church and surrounding area, then Justin Francis read Matthew 16:24-28 and the congregation sang a few more songs
- Take My Life and Let it Be
- I Need Thee Every Hour
After Deacon Donnie Aebersold prayed for the offering, the collection plates were passed while Jacob sang Christ, Or Else I Die, a song written in 1745 by William Hammond
